House designs & architecture

To help give King’s Reach its own identity, a range of architectural styles will be provided that will help create a strong sense of neighbourhood and character that residents can relate to and be proud of.

Key Principles & Features
• A range of house sizes will be included with house types chosen to best suit their specific location. More than 25% of dwellings will be affordable homes to help first time buyers and low income families on to the property ladder

• While there will be a variety of house types, there will be overarching design themes, much as you would find in a typical village, that will ensure each house relates to the others and forms part of a larger whole

• Many dwellings will have a relatively wide frontage with narrower homes near the centre of the settlement, where densities increase, to mark the ‘heart’ of the new community

• Special homes will be designed to suit corners, gateways and landmark locations

• King’s Reach will utilise local materials where possible in keeping with the surrounding towns and villages
