Latest news 11.09.09 Over recent months the consortium has worked closely with Central Bedfordshire Council to agree essential variations to the existing planning agreement and as a result works to the new relief road will start in the New Year following enabling works this month. Mark Kingsley said: "This is extremely positive news, especially given the current economic climate. The consortium has worked closely with the Council and all parties have been fully committed to ensuring this important project can move forward and deliver much needed homes and facilities for the region. We expect to see new homes on the market in early summer next year" Overall the project will deliver more than 2000 new homes together with a range of supporting facilities, including a new neighbourhood centre and recreational open spaces. Provision will also be made for a new Lower School, improvements to the existing Middle and Upper Schools, improvements to the local highway network and money to improve local facilities.
